The First Responder Project, Inc. (FRP) was founded in January 2020 as a nonprofit organization with 501(c)(3) status. Its primary mission is to address the psychological and emotional needs of first responders. The organization's founders, all of whom have direct experience in either serving alongside or working with conventional and special forces personnel, aimed to share the insights and expertise gained from those who are on the front lines. Their goal is to create a wider network of support that offers meaningful and substantial assistance.

FRP brings together individuals from various fields of duty, including both those who provide services and those who operate in these roles. The organization was established to fill a crucial gap in services and resources that are vital for safeguarding the well-being of those who protect society.

The services offered by FRP include education and training programs, therapeutic retreats, and opportunities for first responders to connect with their peers. These initiatives are designed to be available when first responders may require a source of support. They serve as a means to help shift their perspective, restore their sense of purpose, and regain the momentum needed to remain operationally ready and emotionally present for their families.

FRP recognizes that first responders often find themselves in the role of providing assistance rather than receiving it. Nevertheless, the organization acknowledges that, like everyone else, first responders also need occasional respite from the demands of their work and the challenges of human society. This is precisely why FRP exists – to provide a safe haven where they can recharge, regain their equilibrium, and return to their essential duties with renewed strength and resilience.
